Dance Base Yokohama celebrated its sixth anniversary on June 25, 2026.
This is all thanks to everyone who supports our activities.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude.<\/p>\n
Last summer, we opened the 1st-floor studio, and together with the 3rd-floor studio, we have been hosting a variety of events, including regular open classes, performances, and residency programs.
We will continue to create spaces where people connect with one another and with society in a relaxed and natural way through dance.<\/p>\n
To commemorate our 6th anniversary, we have compiled the content of the cross-talk event held at the time of our opening into a report article and a highlight video.Titled \u201cOpening Up Dance: The Next Steps | Shaping the Future Together with the Community,\u201d this record documents a discussion with guests representing different perspectives\u2014dance criticism, concert halls, and private funding\u2014on the future relationship between dance and society.<\/p>\n
What does it mean to \u201copen up dance\u201d? We\u2019ll present a dialogue based on various perspectives and case studies\u2014including the planning process, changes in the creative environment, and the need to engage society\u2014divided into two parts: Part 1 and Part 2.<\/p>\n
