At DaBY,<\/span> ProLab for Dancers “Dancer Development Program” as part of its efforts to develop a professional dance environment and foster creators.<\/span> This program is dedicated to nurturing independent dance artists, and nine DaBY resident dancers participated in the first semester, working on their creations in preparation for a presentation of results in November.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the second half of the program, DaBY Dance Evangelist Kenta Komori will be joined by<\/span> guest lecturer Iri Pokorni (formerly of NDT and Kidd Pivot) for three weeks of research and tryouts for creation. The program aims to conduct continuous tryouts in the coming year.

Auditions for students in the second semester of 2021 will be based on document and video screening.
Professional dancers and aspiring professionals of any genre are welcome to apply. We look forward to hearing from you.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Two (2) videos to be submitted<\/span>
(1) A choreographic combination by Ilyi Pokorny that is close to the original<\/span><\/div>\n
(not changing the speed or rhythm of the movements or the order of the combinations)<\/span><\/div>\n

\n(2) He will personally replace the order of the choreographic combinations by Ily Pokorny. Then, he will improvise to fill in the gaps between them.[2\u5206\u534a\u7a0b\u5ea6]<\/span><\/div>\n
(Combinations may be improvised based on the choreography, with each performer changing the speed, rhythm, size, texture, etc., of the movements.)<\/span><\/div>\n

*Please use music (including silence) of your choice for both. Also, the music for (1) and (2) does not have to be the same.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span>Basically, we do not accept questions about the choreography. Please observe the video carefully and try to copy the choreography, adding your own experience and imagination to the body usage that you cannot see.<\/span> We do not judge whether or not you have made a mistake, so please do what you see in the video.<\/span><\/div>\n
