In 2024, Dance Base Yokohama and Aichi Arts Theatre will co-invite Netherland Dance Theatre for the first time in five years since the last time, and hold a three-city tour in Japan in collaboration with Takasaki Arts Theatre and Kanagawa Kenmin Hall. For the invited performances, three programs from five choreographers’ works will be presented in a triple bill format, one for each performance.<\/p>\n

In this tour, NDT1’s strong and richly physical dancers will dance a full range of works by choreographers familiar to Japanese audiences, including two introduced in 2019, as well as works by choreographers newly introduced this year.<\/p>\n

This season, NDT1 has three Japanese dancers: Enka Kariya, Yukino Takaura, and Chumu Fukushi, who were also in NDT2 at the previous performance.<\/p>\n

The productions and details will be announced around December 2023. Please stay tuned.
