Audition of dancers for the new work of DaBY Collective Dance Project

We are looking for performers for a dance piece created by DaBY associate choreographer Ryu Suzuki using a collective approach.
Date: Tuesday, August 25, 14:00 – 20:00
Audition fee: Free

Performance dates: November 2020 and February 2021 (tentative)
Place of performance: Dance Base Yokohama
*We will determine the form and availability of the program based on the status of new coronavirus infection.
Training period: October 12-November 15, 2020 and February 1-14, 2021 approx.
*Planning is also underway for regional performances in 2021 and beyond.

Professional activity in ballet or contemporary dance.
Must be able to attend rehearsals in Yokohama for the duration of the program.
Performance fee: Yes. Transportation and lodging for rehearsals and performances will be paid separately based on regulations.
Number of applicants: A few will be accepted

Dance Base Yokohama Associate Choreographer
Born in Yokohama, raised in Yamanashi, Wakayama, and Tokyo, and studied at the Lambert School in England.
He has appeared in numerous productions by Japanese and international artists, including Akram Khan, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Philippe Ducoufle, Inbal Pinto/Abshalom Pollack, Ella Hochschild, Motoko Hirayama, Ryohei Kondo, Kenta Komori, and Mari Natsuki.
As a choreographer, he has also attracted a great deal of attention, winning the “French Embassy Prize for Young Choreographers” and other prizes at the Yokohama Dance Collection 2017 Competition I for the first time in history, and his works have been performed numerous times in Japan and abroad.
