Graduated from the Department of Dance Education, Faculty of Letters and Education, Ochanomizu University, and completed the Graduate School of Humanities and Sciences of the same university. After working on stage, she worked at Aichi Arts Center as Japan’s first dance curator from 1993, won the 1st Asahi Arts Award at her organization, Aichi Culture and Information Center in 2000, and has been in her current position since 2021. 2010-16: Curator (Performing Arts) of Aichi Triennale. Since the establishment of DaBY, he has been actively involved in the development of the overall environment for dance and performing arts activities, protection of the rights of artists, dancers, and staff, and measures to expand audiences and markets. He is the author of “The Intelligence of the Body” and other books. His publications include “Bodily Intelligence. He received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s Art Encouragement Prize in 2022 (the 73rd Art Encouragement Prize).
