Born in Kyoto, Japan, graduated from the Faculty of Human Sciences, Osaka University. He has been an expert member of the Osaka Prefectural City Attractiveness Strategy Promotion Council (Tourism and Urban Attractiveness Subcommittee) and a tourism advisor to the Osaka Convention & Visitors Bureau, where he has proposed the Osaka International Performing Arts Festival and other measures to improve the attractiveness of the city through the performing arts.
