Saxophonist. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed the graduate course at the same university. He went to France and graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. He has performed at music festivals in Japan, Europe, and Asia, given recitals and master classes, appeared on radio and television, recorded TV commercials, and conducted outreach activities throughout Japan as an artist supported by the Japan Foundation for Regional Art-Activities. He has had many opportunities to collaborate with dance, including a duo performance with Butoh dancer Ippei Hosaka at the Pina Bausch festival "Tanzfest 2008" in 2008, and performances by the contemporary dance project Opto in "optofile4" (2005), "optofile_touch" (2006), and "Koyurugi" (2006). He received the 13th Keizo Saji Award in 2002 for "Tokyo Genson Keikaku" and the 2038 Japan Arts Festival Excellence Award for his second album "SMOKE. Currently, he is a specially-appointed associate professor at Osaka College of Music, a lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts and Senzoku Gakuen School of Music, and a special lecturer at Elisabeth University of Music.
