Born in 1995 in Kochi Prefecture, Japan. Studied gidayu shamisen under Yanotayu Takemoto from the age of 6 and hogaku (traditional Japanese music) under Sachi Tanaka and Yoko Mochizuki from the age of 10. After graduating from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts, he went on to graduate from the same university's Department of Music Environment Creation. He is a Kuma Foundation Creator Scholar. Through performances of gidayu-bushi, hogaku-bayashi, and contemporary dance based on classical Japanese works, she provides opportunities to revive the contemporaneousness of the classics and rediscover them as familiar stories.
