Mana Hashimoto / New Tryout
◆Message from the Artist
This work is based on his memories of Lanyu, an isolated island of Taiwanese aborigines that he visited in August 2022, and is set in Japan and Taiwan, and is about the duality of “habituation”. Jou-Hsin and JHAN Yi-Jing will join us for a creation tryout. Japan and Taiwan are said to be good neighbors, and we would like to make this an opportunity to look back at our own country through each other’s presence. I would like to deliver this work to our dear neighbors, who are warm and dependable.”
