Due to the worsening of Vladimir Shiklyarov’s back pain and the difficulty of his recovery, we have decided to cancel the Special Ballet Workshop to be held on Tuesday, October 8.
We apologize for the last-minute notice to those who have been looking forward to this workshop.
Please note that an email has been sent individually to those who have registered for the event.
Instead of the cancelled class, a ballet class by Myriam Ould-Braham, former Paris Opera Ballet Etoile, who teaches the class, will be held on Monday, October 7, 2012.
The ballet class will be taught by Myriam Ould-Braham, former Etoile of the Paris Opera Ballet, and will be held on October 7.
The date and time of the workshop will remain unchanged.

Dance Base Yokohama will hold its first ballet workshop with international artists.
Myriam Ould-Braham, former Etoile of the Paris Opera Ballet, who will be remembered for her retirement performance in May 2024 with “Giselle,” and Vladimir Shklyarov, Principal of the Malinsky Ballet, will be guest lecturers. Shklyarov, principal of the Marinsky Ballet, will be our guest lecturers.
This workshop is made possible in conjunction with the ” Superstar Gala 2024 ” to be held in Japan in October 2024 at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Grand Hall.
This is a rare opportunity to experience both the Paris Opera and Waganowa ballet methods. We look forward to your participation.

We will be taking pictures on the day of the event. If you are concerned about being photographed, please ask a staff member.
Please refrain from asking the instruct or for autographs or photos, or waiting at the entrance or exit of the venue, as it may cause inconvenience to the instructor and other participants.
Observation will be conducted from the balcony of the studio. The route to the balcony is narrow and has steep stairs.

◆Artist Profile
In 1996, she entered the Paris Opera Ballet School.
In 1999, she joined the Paris Opera Ballet, and on June 18, 2012, after a performance of “The Marriage of Leeds” (choreographed by Frederic Ashton), in which she played the role of Leeds, Miriam Urd-Braham was appointed Etoile.
As part of the official tour of the Ballet de l’Opera, she performed in Australia (Sydney/2013), Denmark (Copenhagen/2015), USA (New York/2017), Japan (Tokyo/2017), United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi/2019), and was invited to various other galas and She has performed internationally.
She is the recipient of the Leonide Macine Award (Positano, Italy) and the AROP Dance Award. She is a Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
Born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Russia.
In 2003, she graduated from the Waganova Ballet Academy (Vitaly Afanaskov’s class) and joined the Mariinsky Ballet, where she has been a principal dancer since 2011. In recent years, she has danced works by William Forsythe, Angelein Preljocaj, Alexei Ratmansky, Wayne McGregor, and many other choreographers.
In 2002, she won the Waganova Pricks International Competition in St. Petersburg
In 2008, she won the Ballet Magazine “Soul of Dance” Award in the Rising Star category. Winner of the Leonid Machin International Art of Dance Award (Positano, Italy). Winner of the Xenia Mariinsky New Talent Award Grant (London).
In 2009, first prize in the “Solo” category of the 11th International Ballet and Choreography Competition (Moscow).
In 2014, she won the DANCE OPEN International Ballet Award in the “Mr Vituoso” category.
In 2020, she was awarded the title of Russian Distinguished Artist.
