Thick&Tight Workshop
After a successful workshop at DaBY last year, Tick&Tight, a dance mime duo formed in 2012 by Daniel Hay Gordon and Eleanor Perry from London’s prestigious Lambert School of Contemporary Dance, will hold their workshop again this year. The workshop will be held again this year.

Ballet Class (1)
This is a ballet and Cunningham Technique class that Thick&Tight incorporates as a warm-up before rehearsals. Ballet will be taught by Danielle and Cunningham Technique by Eleanor.
(2) Repertoire A : “The Leopard
This is a new solo piece called “The Leopard,” a combination of contemporary dance/mime/acting choreographed by Tom Davis Dunn, principal dancer of the Akram Khan Company, using Maurice Ravel’s great orchestral work “La Valse” as the basis for a new solo piece. Repertoire B: “Rebellion
This is a repertory class to experience phrases from “Rebellion,” a group piece created for Ballet Boys’ upcoming program “England on Fire” at Sadler’s Wells this November.
4) Question and Answer Session
Two days after the workshop, Thick&Tight will talk about the Noh- and Kyogen-inspired pieces they will perform in Tokyo and how they are influenced by a wide range of historical, artistic, and political subjects in their work. The event will be followed by an opportunity for participants to ask questions.
