Notice of Introduction of Pay What You Can System
Pay What You Can System
As a new trial, DaBY will introduce a “Pay What You Can System (voluntary fee system)” for showings held at Dance Base Yokohama this year. Under this system, customers will be able to choose from a number of ticket prices and pay the amount that best suits their budgets at the time of purchase. Each showing will have a standard ticket, but if you can afford it, please consider a ticket with a higher price than the standard ticket. Proceeds from the showings will be used for further productions and performances at DaBY.
The number of tickets will be capped on an experimental basis. If more high priced tickets are purchased, the number of lower priced tickets will be increased and offered to more audience members. After each performance, we plan to conduct a survey on this system for improvement.
Dance Base Yokohama has been working on its mission to open up dance to society and to improve the creative environment for artists, and the introduction of the Pay What You Can system reflects our desire to make it easier for people to attend dance performances even as prices continue to rise, and to respond to the desire to pay more for the work of talented artists. Dance Base Yokohama will continue its efforts to create opportunities for more people to enjoy dance and to create a better place for creation and performance.
