Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Music, Department of Music and Composition, and received an International Emmy Award for his composition of NHK educational programs. He has been in charge of the composition of many programs such as "Ongaku no Nai Ongakukai", "Tokyu Silvester Concert", and "Enter the Music". Involved in inclusive arts research at Tokyo University of the Arts, where he developed the "Daredemo Piano (®︎)," an instrument that can be played with one finger. His publications include "Ohanashi Classics" (Artes Publishing) and "Musicians' Stories" (Ongaku no Tomo Sha). He is a visiting professor at Tokyo University of the Arts, the University of Tokyo Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, and Senzoku Gakuen School of Music.
