Musician, leader of the improvisation trio "Altered States" at Innocent Records since 1989, has been involved in improvised music since around 1983, and has also worked on songs through producing and performing with pop musicians such as UA, Haruomi Hosono, Tabito Nanao, Ichiko Aoba, Salyu, Kururi, and many others. He has also produced and performed songs for pop musicians such as UA, Haruomi Hosono, Tabito Nanao, Ichiko Aoba, Salyu and Kururu. His activities include music production and live performances for theater, dance, and film. He runs an alternative space BRIDGE in Osaka (-2007). He has been the musical director of the theater company Ishinha for 30 years. In recent years, he has collaborated with many Asian musicians, most notably forming a group with Indonesian SENYAWA in 2012 as MAHANYAWA.
