Jazz bassist from Gunma, Japan, who began playing cello at age 11 and contrabass at 18. After returning to Japan, he joined the groups of Terumasa Hino, Sadao Watanabe, and others. Currently, he participates in many groups including his own trio, Banksia Trio, and has performed at many jazz festivals in Japan and abroad. In recent years, he has also been involved in music production for stage music and art works, releasing his debut album “Outgrowing” in 2018 and three albums with Banksia Trio. The latest is “MASKS” in 2023.
