Based in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, Takuya Kamiike is an artist in contemporary art (installations, two-dimensional works) and stage design (theater, dance). In 2017, he exhibited in the special exhibition "Crosspoint / Intersecting Gazes: 20 Expressions" at the Kagawa Prefectural Museum. In 2018, he was responsible for the art planning and production of Niwa Gekidan Penino's "Fortress of Smiles". In 2021, he handled the art planning and production for SPAC's (directed by Satoshi Miyagi) "Mary Poppins with a Sake Cup Umbrella" (Written by Juro Kara). That same year, he provided direction and sculptural support for the theater-style ethnographic museum "Suzu Theater Museum" at the Oku-Noto International Art Festival 2020+. He has also been involved in art planning for various works by Ayaka Ono Akira Nakazawa Spacenotblank, including "Views (Written by Shuntaro Matsubara)", "Sey (Misspelling of Say) (Original Work: Ryo Ikeda)", "Words and Shakespeare’s Birds", "Alice in Wonderlight (Written by Shuntaro Matsubara)", and "Rebirth (Original Concept: Junnosuke Tada)"
