[Activities at DaBY
Since 2017, we have been performing about an hour-long performance with elements such as standing, watching, and walking, out of an interest in being there, approximately every day. We do this, in part, because we believe that the daily repetition of the performance allows for changes in content that go beyond the artist's personal intentions, and a response to the situation, environment, and times.
Sometimes, I also perform with this content. In the production of the show, not only I but also the artists in charge of lighting, sound, advertising, graphics, etc. work together to create everything from publicity to the performance and after the show. We have plans to hold another performance this fall and had been preparing for it since the end of last year, but due to the coronavirus, the performance has been postponed until next year. In using Dance Base Yokohama this time, we would like to have a chance to restart the performance with the members who gathered for this performance, and to discuss the trial and error process that was interrupted.
