In this workshop, you will experience the choreographic work of Crystal Pite. Using choreography from recent works, participants will experience how Kidd Pivot’s repertoire is based on technique.

Ella Rothschild

Born in Israel. Choreographer, multidisciplinary artist and dancer; recipient of the Rosenblum Performing Arts Award by the City of Tel Aviv and the Ministry of Culture Award for promising creators in 2016; in 2017, she received the Israeli Ministry of Culture Award as best solo performer; 2013-2022. Between 2013 and 2022, Ella created and performed 11 works in Israel, Europe, Japan, and the U.S. In 2020, Ella was awarded a residency at the Baryshnikov Art Center, New York, and was selected as an artist for the Suzanne Dellal Center’s inaugural residency program, where she created the work ” She created the piece “Pigulim”. In the same year, she collaborated with director Kenichi Tani on “A History of Humanity” at the Kanagawa Arts Theatre, KAAT, and in 2021, she created a trilogy for the Batsheva Dance Company: “Summer
snow,” “on the edge of nowhere,” and “A Year Without Summer.

Jennifer Florentino

A native of Paterson, NJ. Storyteller with a background in theater, film and dance. She received her BFA in Dance from Point Park University. After graduation, she had the opportunity to perform throughout the United States. Musical Theater: “On Your Feet” (National Tour), “Moulin Rouge The Musical” (Boston), “Evita” (at Encores). Television/Film: Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, Modern Love, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Isn’t It Romantic, Kennedy Center Honors (Gloria Estefan), SNL; Dance: Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, Sonya Taie’s You’ll Still Call Me By Name, and recently worked with Ajua Burton at LA Opera. Jennifer is delighted to join the Kid Pivot family.
