DaBY Dancer Registration System

The DaBY Dancer Registration System, newly launched in FY2022, is a system to support dancers who have completed basic training and dancers who wish to expand their activities as freelance d ancers to start up as dance artists so that they can work independently in the domestic and international stage industry. This is a system to support dancers who have completed their basic training or who wish to expand their freelance activities.

ProLab classes (training classes) and Contextual Studies (seminars) are held once a week throughout the year ,free of charge

Last year, in the DaBY Dancer Development Program 2021 (2nd semester), students studied and performed a duet from "Humpback Runner," directed and choreographed by Ili Pokorny, online. This time, research and creation will start as an ongoing project for the next year and beyond.

Venue: Institut français Tokyo
A dance piece will be performed that references the French philosopher Emanuele Coccia's book "The Philosophy of Plant Life: The Metaphysics of Mixing".
DaBY Dance Project: "Rain" by Ryu Suzuki and Shinji Ohmaki
Performance dates: March 11 (Sat.) and 12 (Sun.), 2023
Venue: Aichi Arts Center, Small Hall
The company will perform a new work, Rain, inspired by the short story "Rain" by Somerset Maugham.
It is also scheduled to be performed again in 2023.
Yui Yonezawa, principal of the New National Ballet Company, has been selected as a performer.
