The DaBY Dancer Registration System, newly launched in FY2022, is designed to enabledancers who have completed basic training or who wish to expand their activities as freelancers in the futureto become independent in the domestic and international stage industry, This system is designed to support dancers who have completed basic training and who wish to expand their activities as freelance dancers so that they can work independently in the domestic and international stage industry.

ProLab classes (training classes) and Contextual Studies (seminars) are held once a week throughout the year ,free of charge

The following three new projects are scheduled for participation by the dancers in residence.

In last year’s DaBY Dancer Development Program 2021 (2nd semester), participants learned duets from “Humpback Runner” directed and choreographed by Ili Pokorny and performed in a showcase online. Last year, in the DaBY Dancer Development Program FY2021 [2nd semester], we learned duets from “Humpback Runner” directed and choreographed by Ily Pokorny and performed the showings. This time, research and creation will start as an ongoing project for the next year and beyond.

A dance piece will be performed that references the French philosopher Emanuele Coccia’s “The Philosophy of Plant Life: The Metaphysics of Mixing”.
DaBY Dance Project Ryu Suzuki x Shinji Ohmaki “Rain”]
Dates: March 11 (Sat.) and 12 (Sun.), 2023
Venue: Aichi Arts Center, Small Hall
A new work “Rain” inspired by the short story “Rain” by Somerset Maugham will be performed.
It is also scheduled to be performed again in 2023.
Yui Yonezawa, Principal of the New National Ballet Company, has been selected as a performer.
