Dance Base Yokohama

Delgado Fuchs “RUN BABY RUN” Showing + Talk

◆Outline

RUN BABY RUN is a choreographic project that brings together two generations of performers in their 20s and 50s to explore questions of heritage, lore, and power.

At the heart of this project is the intimate act of coming together as a family on stage. Together with our daughter, Lili-Marlo, 19, who is studying dance and visual arts, and her best friend Sam, 19, a musician and composer, we will create a space where gestures, silences, and unspoken threads of tension become circuits of transmission.

RUN BABY RUN aims to deconstruct hierarchy and shift the generational gap into a creative force. Through this work, we explore the family not as a fixed structure, but as a fluid, chosen constellation–as an entity that resists patriarchal and heteronormative norms and builds spaces of care, complicity, and creation.

Delgado Fuchs

Swiss collective founded by artists Marco Delgado and Nadine Fuchs. Their creations transcend existing categories, sit at the intersection of dance and visual arts, and revel in their ambiguity. With a light and innocent sensibility, they explore diverse ways of engaging with the body, and this exploration has led to collaborations with a wide range of artists, including visual artists, stage designers, musicians, film directors, costume designers, and fashion designers.

To date, Delgado Fuchs has created more than 20 works. They have been presented at international festivals such as Aichi Triennale 2010 and Impulstanz Wien (Austria), as well as in theaters, contemporary art spaces and museums around the world.
