Involved in stage productions as a member of the Japanese art collective Dumb Type, and established Kinsei R&D in 2014 for his own activities. In 2003, he began creating works under his own name, primarily using digital control technology. One of his representative stage works is "true/true," which premiered in 2007. In this work, he constructed a stage with the motif of the human brain and its grasp of the world, using synchronization of each staging element by digital devices such as myoelectric sensors. He has also participated in many domestic and international performances as a stage lighting artist. These include "Wings of the Sun" by Miwa Yanagi, "2020," a performance by Dumb Type, "Reframe," a concert by Perfume, and "행 +- (Hang plusminus)," a performance by the Korean National Dance Company, choreographed by Ahn Ae-soon. In 2010, he began working with the Yamamoto Nohgakudo in Osaka to illuminate Noh performances, an experiment that continues to this day.
