Since its opening in June 2020, DaBY has held the OpenLab “Dancers, Dance with Words” six times, in which dancers introduce their own experiences and creative activities through talks and demonstrations. OpenLab “Dancers, Dance with Music and Words” will start in FY2021. Through sessions by DaBY dance evangelist Kenta Komori and musicians, we will attempt to expand the relationship between music and dance while exchanging questions and opinions with each other through talks.

The first guest of OpenLab “Dancers, Dancing with Music and Words” will be singer Miu Sakamoto. Ms. Sakamoto, who has been involved not only in music but also in writing, narration, theater, and various other expressive activities, will talk about her experiences with dance and the driving force behind expanding her activities while raising a family, while demonstrating her singing and dancing with Koyurugi.

Born on May 1, 1980.
Born in 1980 in a musical family, moved to New York at the age of 9.
In 1997, at the age of 16, he made his debut as a singer under the name “Ryuichi Sakamoto feat. Since then, he has been actively singing under his real name.

In addition to his musical activities, he has broadened his range of expression through writing, narration, and theater, and since 2011 has been a radio personality on “Dear Friends,” a nationwide radio program on TOKYO FM and other networks. He is also a DJ on Haruki Murakami’s radio program “Murakami RADIO”.

He is also active as a member of the unit “Ohame (Yuichi Ohata + Miu Sakamoto). In 2020, he will appear in the stage production of “The Star Prince – Letters from Saint-Exupery” directed by Kaiji Moriyama. In 2021, he released a new album, “birds fly.

She is also known as a “cat person,” and her book “How to Suck a Cat” and her beloved cat “Sabami” have become the talk of the town. In 2015, she gave birth to her first daughter. She writes daily about her life with her cat and daughter.
