“Dance with Sound Work-in-Progress” is a project to share diverse perspectives on dance through the use of texts inspired by the ↪S2FB3↩Voice Guides↪S2FB3↩ that provide visual information to those with visual impairments. This is a project to share various perspectives on dance by having visually impaired and sighted people view dance together using texts inspired by “audio guides” that assist visually impaired people with visual information through sound. As a development of this project, we will welcome Masako Yasumoto as a new dancer and hold a preview performance and talk about her new work to be presented at Kinosaki International Art Center in March 2022.
In the development version, artist Yumitsu Araki will join the artist for sound and writer Junko Gosho for text, approaching dance from the perspectives of both sound and words. This work questions the various ways of texture, presence, and touch. The program will attempt to see how the image of the work can be shaped from multiple perspectives by bringing together the perspectives of those who can see and those who cannot see. In the talk after the performance, visitors will have time to share their impressions and impressions of how they saw the work.
