never thought it would
The word “planet” is said to come from the Greek word “Planē ́ tēs,” meaning “wanderer.” It originated from the observation that the motion of planets orbiting a star when seen from earth looked as if they were wandering around in the sky.
I see an overlap between this wandering planet and my dancing self.
Pina Bausch said before her death, “Dance, dance, otherwise we are lost.”
But I no longer know why I am dancing, where I started, or where I am going. The only thing I know is where I have been. That is all I know.
I can only continue to dance, falling like a planet from a cliff of the “present” that lies at the edge of the past.

One of the key words in this work is “looking back.”
・What appears to be stationary is in fact minutely vibrating.
・The earth is not a static plane, but a rotating sphere.
・LED lights are not constantly glowing, but they are blinking repeatedly.
There is a discrepancy between the world we see and the facts of reality. And as we look back, even the world we are seeing continues to change. The person I think I am is different from the person I have been, and the person I am here and the person I am there are probably different.
Our perception of the world keeps changing in response to the continuum of facts. Amidst this constant change, if there is a pushing and shoving among the seemingly unchanging bodies, how can we think of this as a “body that looks back?” We accept it as such a challenge.
