◆Outline
This showing is an adopted project of the 2026DaBY Residence Program.
After the Garden” is a collaborative project by Ishvara Devati (Indonesia) and Ari Angkasa (Australia) that explores the body as a “compost-like entity” through movement and media experimentation.
Compost, in other words, is a porous, ever-changing entity, shaped by water, soil, and memory. Using this process of decay and transformation as a guide, the artist’s own trans woman’s body will be shown as an attempt to re-imagine a “flexible living ecology” in a damaged yet sustainable world. Based on Devati’s concept of exploring the space between the body and technology with the keyword “porous boundaries,” and in collaboration with Angkasa, which uses video, performance, and music as means of expression, an experimental space for opening up perception will be launched. The project will launch an experimental space to open up our perception.
