AINOTE
AINOTE, the second work by Yasutake Shimaji and Tamaki Roy became a work that could be called a "philosophical skit," which is a complete turnaround from their previous work, ARIKA, which was a fresh combination of different artistic disciplines. It could be described as a highly irregular comic dialogue or a kind of lecture performance about consciousness, emotion, memory, and the body. The creation began with Shimaji's idea of finding a text for a two-person show. Eventually, the two wrote their own texts ("dictating" the text as if it was free association while watching the same video separately), with Tamaki narrating and Shimaji dancing, and gradually they began to twist together to form a curious landscape. I hope you can laugh and enjoy this collaboration, which is very different from pure or innocent dance and rap.
