Ana Rita Teodoro / “Trolaró” and “Your Teacher, Please” Showing
Ana Rita Teodoro, João dos Santos Martins, and Filipe Pereira, core members of the Portuguese artist collective PARASITA They will stay at the Saruhashi Warehouse of the Tatsumi Hijikata/Natsuyuki Nakanishi Memorial and Dance Base Yokohama for rehearsals of new works and showings of two recent works. Please come and see the new works created by a deep look at Butoh from the outside.
◆ “Trolaró”.
A collaborative work by Ana Rita and João Martins. Through their bodies and voices, the programmed movements of a machine are transformed into the movements of a writhing, supple organism.

◆Main Artist Profile
Ana Rita Teodoro / Ana Rita Teodoro
Ana Rita Teodoro holds a Master’s degree in Dance and Performance from the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine Angers and the Université Paris VIII, where she studied and created the body from anatomical, paleontological and philosophical perspectives. In recent years, he has conducted research on the study of “butoh” and presented “Your Teacher, Please” based on his experience of participating in Yoshito Ohno’s training.
João dos Santos Martins / João dos Santos Martins
João dos Santos Martins develops his dance practice in diverse ways: choreography, exhibition, and publication. He studied at the University of Dance in Lisbon, P.A.R.T.S. (Brussels), and the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine in Montpellier. He founded Parasita in 2014.
Filipe Pereira / Filipe Pereira
Filipe Pereira is a choreographer, dancer, and floral designer who has collaborated with Teresa Silva on the choreographic works “New Creation” and “What Remains from What Has Passed”. As a dancer, she has participated in works by João dos Santos Martins, Sofia Dias&Vitor Roriz. She has been working on “Anthesis,” a project using flowers in various locations.
