[Pay What You Can制度] Introduction to Theater Performances
DaBY has introduced the “Pay What You Can System (voluntary fee system)” for showings at Dance Base Yokohama on an experimental basis this year. Since the system is gradually gaining recognition and has been deemed to be achieving its objectives, DaBY has decided to introduce the system for the first time in a theater performance at the “Aichi Arts Center x Dance Base Yokohama Performing Arts Selection 2024” in Kanagawa Prefecture.
This system allows customers to choose the amount of money that suits their wallet at the time of purchase from a number of ticket prices. Each ticket will have a maximum number of tickets. The standard price is set as a rough guide, but if you can afford it, please consider higher-priced tickets. If you purchase a large number of higher-priced tickets, we will increase the number of lower-priced tickets and offer them to a larger number of people.
Dance Base Yokohama has been working with the mission of opening up dance to society and improving the creative environment for artists, and the introduction of the Pay What You Can system is intended to make it easier for people to attend dance performances even as prices continue to rise, and to respond to the desire to pay more for and support talented artists. Dance Base Yokohama will continue its efforts to create opportunities for more people to enjoy dance and to create a better place for creation and performance.
