Teita Iwabuchi / Research workshop for the creation of new work “The Soft Machine XXX” (tentative)

In conjunction with the creation of Teita Iwabuchi’s new work “The Soft Machine XXX” (tentative), a workshop will be held for the general public.
We look forward to your participation.

◆Comments

I am thinking of creating a solo dance. Rather than creating a solo dance alone in a rehearsal space, I would like to start the creation process by sharing it openly with many people. This solo work is conceived to be danced not only by Iwabuchi himself but also by other performers. We are waiting for those who are interested in the work and would like to experience the creative process.

Reticular Body”
Teita Iwabuchi’s method developed based on Butoh and martial arts, utilizing Japanese body and sensitivity, and inspired by biology, brain science, etc.

The Theory of the Ecstatic Body
Teita Iwabuchi’s theory of the body that explores the body from the East and West, from the history of Butoh, martial arts, folk art philosophy, living things, plants, and the human body, and brings out the abundant wisdom and power that the body inherently possesses as a living creature.
