Daniel and Eleanor began their unique creative endeavors after mastering skills in classical ballet and the Cunningham Technique, among others. They have established a new and unique dance style through storytelling with plenty of humor and satire about historical figures, unique and diverse musical theater incorporating drag, camping, lip-sync, etc., and unique stage design.
She has positioned her own identity as LGBTQ+ at the center of the message of her work, and has conducted research on queer cultures around the world in her creative activities. ◆About Creation Class
In the Creation class, students will learn the Thick & Tight choreography method.
The uniqueness of Thick & Tight’s work comes from the depth of research. We have based our creations on the people, poems, words, and photographs that form the subject matter of our work.
In this workshop, participants will experience the creative process of Two Moths in Real Time (commissioned by the Noh Reimagined Festival), a recent work inspired by Noh and Kyogen.
Participants will experience the rules and tasks they used to create the movement and create the movement themselves.
Other activities will include experiencing the creative process of a past work ( Ra Ra Rasputin ) and a Q&A session.
