The theme of the exhibition is “Reinterpretation of the physical senses in the modern age. Using his original butoh technique “Multi Layered Body” as a basis, he extracts “permanence/disconnection, movement, replacement, and transformation” from the phenomenon of “orbital rotation,” overlapping and amplifying multiple aspects, both apparent and latent, of the subject. In reinterpreting Butoh, the foundation of his work, in his own unique way, Ame has selected dancers with diverse backgrounds other than Butoh. We can expect a presentation of newly budding possibilities and a drama of immediacy that will lead to innovation.
